Ashley Newman Photography
This little guy is nearly a year old! His family contacted me before he was born to set up a year of documenting his life and goodness has it flown by! His parents have grown and he has changed so much.
Then their whole family came in for the holidays and the rest is history! I love being able to capture these moments. It’s legacy. It’s love.
Now you have a session coming up but the weather is looking questionable. Don’t worry! Overcast weather is actually some of the best to use to photograph, and here is why:
-
First! Don’t be afraid! This is Texas, so the weather can literally change by the hour. What the forecast shows in the morning may not be true for later in the day.
-
It provides a natural filter from that harsh sunlight and can make for some beautiful portraits. No weird shadows on your face or harsh contrast— just good consistent light.
-
Stormy clouds or overcast weather is so interesting! Not every day can be sunny, and while we are known for our sunset images, sometimes you just have to embrace the beauty of the weather for the day. (This is especially true if you are unable to schedule because of your availability or specific family being in town for a limited time).
Don’t be afraid of overcast! Check out this family session to see a full gallery where they embraced the weather and just had a blast.
