I am often asked questions when leading up to booking for a newborn session. I love getting to chat with clients prior to booking because it helps me to know if we are going to be a good fit but it also helps prepare you for the types of sessions I do. My approach to newborn photography is much more natural and organic (so no posing your baby on a bean bag). I have a focus on your connections and relationships as a family, plus all the tiny details of the day. What is lifestyle photography? It’s the heartbeat of your family! It’s all about capturing images that reveal a story. It’s candid yet directed and posed at the same time. But mostly, it’s emotive photography that focuses on relationships and family.

How do I book? That’s the easy part! All I require is a retainer fee to hold your date.

Where do we take the pictures? I have spent years finding and securing private locations as well as scoping out the best public spaces. Once you are booked, I will share all my locations with you and help you pick the one that best fits your vision for your session. I also offer studio options like the awesome one you see in the post! 🙂 So if your house won’t work for newborns or you don’t want to use it, don’t fret!

How long until I get my pictures? The big reveal- right? It’s my favorite too! You will get a sneak peek of your photos 1-2 weeks after your session and your final gallery in 3-4 weeks.

How early should we reserve a date? It’s best to book when you are absolutely comfortable and ready. Most families book around between 20-30 weeks, but some book as soon as they know! I am generally booked out about a month in advance and reserve a date around your due date.
