how to reserve your date
Scheduling a session is simple! Booking is handled through Ashley directly. Fill out the contact form below, or email her at [email protected]. Available dates will be reviewed and we will find a date that best suits your schedule. All sessions are booked in The Woodlands at sunrise or sunset for ideal lighting. It is recommended to plan ahead, as weekends fill up several weeks in advance, but flexible weekday options are always available. Ashley leaves room around every reserved session to accommodate for weather.
what are the best locations for family pictures?
As part of the planning process, you will be given exclusive access to choose from preferred locations in and around the Woodlands. All sessions take place outside, in The Woodlands/Spring areas. Ashley has secured multiple spots that showcase the natural beauty of our city while remaining private.
what time will our pictures be at?
Session times vary depending on the time of year and cloud coverage, but generally happen at sunrise or an hour before sunset.
what do we wear for family portraits?
After your date is booked, we will discuss all the fun things like locations, timing and of course wardrobe. Ashley is available to help with planning and styling your session to make sure your vision comes to life and everyone looks amazing. It’s suggested that you coordinate one outfit for each person participating in the session. Think about using different colors, textures, and patterns that flow together. Avoid matching everyone in the same thing and use vision boards to help bring everything together. Part of the personalized services offered includes a free, online styling guide as well as one-to-one time with Ashley to help put together outfits.
what do you do with awkward people like me? i need posing help!
That is the beauty of lifestyle photography! No modeling experience is necessary! We will embrace the mood and feeling for the day, no matter what it is. Crazy kids running around? No problem. Sleepy toddler who just wants snuggles? Let’s do this! Ashley is there to help guide you into positions, prompt you for fun games and activities to do with your kids, and just spend unhurried time together. You don’t need to know how to “pose”. Instead, think about it like being directed. You may be asked to spin around in a field or even start a tickle fight. Every family is different but we meet you where you are at and help you look amazing through it all!
what happens if the weather is bad?
In order to achieve the colorful look Ashley is known for, sessions ideally require a sunny day. Overcast is not bad, it can actually create very evenly lit and wonderful photos. However, if it is going to be overcast and you prefer sun, you may be offered a reschedule date at no additional fee- depending on availability. If the weather is bad (extreme heat or cold, or rain/natural disaster), Ashley will contact you to find another day that will work for everyone’s schedule.
