Best Time For Maternity Photos

When is the best time to book or schedule your maternity session? If you have just found our that you are pregnant, you may not have even thought that far ahead (congrats by the way!!! Let me bet the first one to say THIS IS AMAZING!!!) I am seriously so excited for you. I have three little ones of my own and life is simply amazing with them.
So now you are ready to start thinking about documenting this incredible milestone.
This mama almost didn’t have maternity photos taken. She was feeling insecure and out of sorts. Anxious to meet her son and overwhelmed with the prep before he arrived. But right at the last minute, someone gave her the best advice. Do it for your son. No matter how you feel about yourself, your son will want these memories. Do it for him.

I recommend booking your maternity session after you feel comfortable in your pregnancy. Many mom’s wait until the 12 week mark. They have announced their pregnancy and are ready to really dive into planning. Schedule your session for about 30 weeks. That way you have a good little bump going but aren’t too tired and over it. Plus, you will get your photos back and be able to enjoy them for longer before your baby arrives.
If you waited and you are already past 30 weeks, no big deal! So long as you are comfortable and you have approval form your doctor, schedule your session ASAP! Let’s adventure together and capture those memories for your baby. I promise you won’t regret it.

I always recommend setting up your newborn or fresh 48 photos at the same time. You can reserve your due date and then the worry and planning is done. It’s just that simple. 😉
