The road to building a family is different for everyone. The more I have shared our own journey, the more people I seem to know that have also faced struggles and challenges along the way. I have been pretty open about our own IVF and adoption struggles, but even 10 years later it hits me like a crashing wave when I hear of someone else’s struggles. All the pain, the struggles and the hope wrapped up in one sentence: adventure awaits.
It’s part of why I am such a firm believer in documenting all journeys– there is not a single family story that doesn’t deserve to be shared and shouted from the rooftops.
